Headquartered in Dallas, HilltopSecurities is a Texas-based financial services company whose recent expansion provides momentum for future growth. To accommodate 550 staff for this organizational expansion, Hilltop is completely renovating four and a half floors of an office building in downtown Dallas.
To ensure that design and workplace standards were maintained, the CEO met regularly with the design team to finalize decisions and manage user input from 15 departments anchored by wealth management, public finance, and the trading floor. Three major guiding principles drove design decisions: enhance productivity, prioritize staff space for social and privacy needs, and create a flexible environment with increased density.
The new design reduces the number of private office spaces, and all workspaces are outfitted with sit-to-stand desks. Training occurs on the lowest level, and the executive suite is on the top floor. Staff lounges, wellness rooms, and work zones are equally distributed throughout the four floors. A dominant accent color defines each key work zone through paint, textiles, and artwork.
