Preuss | Foster Law Offices at Three Hallbrook

Preuss | Foster Law was looking to move to Three Halbrook, located in Leawood, Kansas, to elevate the firm’s operating office to reflect its professional work. To align with the other tenants, Preuss Foster drew inspiration from the tenant's original design as a foundation to create a cohesive and holistic atmosphere for the entire building.

The client was involved in the decision-making process, ensuring that the new office space met their needs. These needs included a special board room, private offices for each lawyer, and an open office space for paralegals. After careful consideration, the client and our team decided to focus on one large, multi-functioning conference room. This room serves as a place to host clients, attend court sessions virtually, and other various concerns that lawyers need to address. The lobby functions as a welcoming space that could evoke a sense of home for visitors.

 

 

The primary objective of this project was to create an efficient office tailored to lawyers' daily needs. Specific design features include carefully curated lighting that illuminates the space but hides the direct light source, HVAC, and other ceiling elements for a clean, polished aesthetic. Interior details embrace warm wood tones and a marble look throughout. The design also effectively tackled storage concerns by incorporating a large file room to provide organization for client folders, case files, and other items. Acoustical baffles were embedded in the open office area to control noise, with active paralegals and important discussions taking place. 

 

The transformation of Preuss | Foster Law's new office enhances its operational efficiency and fosters a professional yet inviting atmosphere. By addressing the specific needs of the lawyers and their clients, the design successfully balances functionality with aesthetics. Thus, supporting the firm's growth and providing a comfortable environment for collaboration, ensuring that every visitor feels welcomed and every attorney is equipped to perform at their best.
