To better accommodate growing demand and position for future changes in healthcare delivery, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is undertaking a significant expansion. The 1.1 million, 12-story, dual-tower expansion will provide inpatient and outpatient clinical and support services as well as areas designed to enhance the staff and patient experience. Six floors of below-grade parking will replace parking structures demolished for the new facility.
Hoefer Welker’s CTS team is working as an integral part of the owner’s project management team to develop the vision and oversee the design and implementation of the technology infrastructure required for this massive new facility. A technology current state evaluation and visioning served as the basis for the technology infrastructure that will support the clinical and non-clinical operational workflows, patient and family experience, and favorably contribute to patient outcomes.
