Branson White House Theater Renovation- Police, Fire Admin and EOC
This adaptive reuse project transforms a former community theater into a modern public safety facility, preserving a local landmark while redefining...
Grandview, Missouri, is a thriving community with a rich history and a strong sense of community. However, like many communities, it faced challenges with outdated infrastructure that hindered its growth and safety.

Hoefer Welker was entrusted with assessing, renovating, and expanding key municipal facilities, including the Police Department, DMV, City Hall, and Fire Stations. Despite a limited budget and a demanding program, our team devised innovative solutions to position the City for a prosperous future.

Previously, the City’s administration, courts, and police functioned out of a single facility. The layout of this facility limited staff efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration. Through strategic demolition and modifications, Hoefer Welker identified areas to enhance the work environment, creating seamless workflow and stronger connections among staff. This new and improved layout not only promotes a more open and functional space but also ensures long-term benefits in terms of retention and recruitment.

For the fire stations, Hoefer Welker helped create several design options for the fire department and the city to consider. With the associated cost estimates, the city could ultimately determine the priority out of the various options.
