The City of Kansas City, Kansas welcomed into the Argentine community today a new library that will serve the neighborhood for many years to come. The one-story South Branch Library replaces the multi-story Argentine Carnegie Library which served the area for over 95 years. The main catalyst for the new library was to create a modern facility that is handicap accessible and accommodates people of all ages.
Some of the main features of the South Branch library include study areas, flexible stacks, conference rooms, art areas displaying community artwork, a children’s story time cove and a community room. The community room will have tables, stackable chairs and a small kitchenette available for public use.
