McGehee Family Tower is name for Baptist-Wolfson ER expansion Downtown

The McGehee Family Tower, a transformative expansion of the Baptist Medical Center and Wolfson Children’s Hospital on Downtown Jacksonville's Southbank, is set to elevate emergency care in the region. Designed by your talented healthcare team, this four-story, 123,908-square-foot facility will feature separate emergency rooms for adults and children, including 100 patient care rooms, advanced imaging and trauma services, and expanded heart care and inpatient facilities. With a $187.38 million investment and named in honor of Sutton and Debbie McGehee, lifelong Jacksonville residents and major donors, the project reflects a commitment to innovation and community care. Construction is underway and is expected to be completed in phases, with the entire project scheduled for completion in 2029. Meanwhile, current ER services remain fully operational.
