As part of the 2025 HCD Conference + Expo tours, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the new Children’s Mercy + Camber Mental Health facility in Olathe, Kansas—a 72-bed hospital designed by Hoefer Welker and built by JE Dunn Construction. Opened in October 2024, the 60,000-square-foot facility embodies trauma-informed design principles, featuring private patient rooms, secure outdoor courtyards, and calming, light-filled spaces that promote dignity and healing for both youth and adults.
