A longtime partner of Hoefer Welker, The Andersons Inc. engaged our team to design a new office space that would accommodate their growing needs. With a 10-year lease secured in the CityPlace IV building, they were looking for a solution that not only supported their operations but also captured their identity as a leading commodities trader.

Fitting into a first-generation space, the design was tailor-made to suit their unique needs while considering potential future use by other building occupants. Our solution included an open-plan trading floor, providing a functional and collaborative environment for their operations. An executive suite was incorporated to accommodate leadership, a spacious break room, and a fully equipped training room, all designed to support employee engagement and development.

Key design features include a custom wheat-shaped light, a striking homage to the client’s brand and industry, and a prep kitchen to serve meals for training sessions. Beyond functionality and aesthetics, sustainability was a core focus of the design, resulting in the achievement of LEED Silver status. This not only promotes energy efficiency and cost savings but also enhances the health and well-being of employees.
The thoughtful and adaptable design equips the client for present success while ensuring flexibility for the future, making this space a stand-out example of innovation and purpose-driven design.
