This adaptive reuse project transforms a former community theater into a modern public safety facility, preserving a local landmark while redefining it to serve Branson’s police and fire departments.

The renovation of the former White House Theatre in Branson, Missouri, reimagines a long-standing community landmark as a fully integrated Police Department, Fire Administration, and Emergency Operations Center. The design maintains the building’s recognizable presence while introducing a state-of-the-art public safety hub that supports both daily operations and long-term growth.

The project includes a strategic building addition for a secure sallyport and future police department expansion. A large multi-purpose room serves dual functions as a community gathering space and a training facility for both police and fire personnel, strengthening the connection between first responders and the public they serve.

Within the Police Department, dedicated areas support patrol, investigations, administration, detention, and property and evidence operations. Fire Administration offices are intentionally located adjacent to police leadership spaces to enhance communication and interdepartmental coordination.
The facility also features a new fitness center and modern locker rooms to promote employee health, wellness, and operational readiness.
This revitalized facility enhances Branson’s public safety infrastructure while honoring the history of the original theater, demonstrating a continued commitment to preparedness, collaboration, and community engagement.
