800 Grand is a mixed-use redevelopment at the corner of 8th and Grand, reimagining a prominent downtown Kansas City site through a combination of new construction and adaptive reuse. The project integrates residential, hospitality, entertainment, and retail uses to create a connected destination that supports activity throughout the day and into the evening.

The development includes a new 24–25 story residential tower with approximately 319 units, positioned above a structured parking base with active ground-floor uses. The project also incorporates the historic Scarritt Building, which will be redeveloped into a UMusic Hotel with approximately 150–160 keys, connected to the new tower at the lobby level and select amenity spaces.

At street level, the project introduces retail and food & beverage space designed to activate the surrounding block and contribute to the energy of the Power & Light District. A ~1,600-seat live music venue further anchors the development, creating a destination for both residents and visitors.
In total, the project represents an estimated $480M+ investment, combining new construction and historic preservation to deliver a vibrant, multi-use environment that strengthens Kansas City’s evolving urban fabric.
