TCU Burnett School of Medicine: Architecture, Innovation, and the Future of Healthcare in Fort Worth

Global Design News recently featured the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University, highlighting the facility’s role in advancing medical education and supporting the future of healthcare in Fort Worth.

Designed by CO Architects in association with Hoefer Welker, the medical school brings together active learning environments, advanced simulation and emerging technologies to support a highly collaborative approach to medical education. The feature highlights the building’s Level 3 “super floor,” which integrates anatomical exploration, procedural skills training, virtual reality, medical simulation and student community spaces.

The article also explores how the design connects TCU’s architectural identity with the character of Fort Worth’s Near Southside while creating new opportunities for collaboration among students, faculty, clinical partners, researchers and the broader community.
