The Kansas City Business Journal's "Coolest Office Spaces" competition highlights innovative office designs that foster collaboration and creativity....
Rob Welker, president and partner at Hoefer Welker, successfully raised more than $42,000 for the nonprofit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City (BBBSKC).
Rob was among 38 honorees in BBBSKC’s “Most Wanted” campaign. Honorees are recognized for being movers and shakers who are making a big difference in their profession and in their community.
The “Most Wanted” campaign concluded on December 3 with a live auction at the Midland Theatre, where Rob was recognized as the campaign’s top fundraiser. Hoefer Welker was proud to support Rob as he surpassed his goal of raising $30,000 for the nonprofit organization.
BBBSKC has served more than 20,000 at-risk youth in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Serving more than 1,700 youth each year, BBSKC provides children facing adversity with one-to-one, life-changing friendships with adult mentors.
BBSKC believes that youth who have a positive adult influence in his or her life are better able to reach their full potential. Children and youth in the program are 75 percent more likely to graduate, and report higher self-esteem, improved academic performance and better attitudes toward education.
