The Overland Park City Council voted 10-1 on Monday to finalize Mediware’s position as the anchor tenant, with Councilwoman Gina Burke casting the sole dissenting vote. The proposal will grant $31.6 million in bonds for development of the building and a 10-year, 50 percent property tax abatement to Mediware, with the condition that local employment exceed 300 after five years.
