New name focuses on partner leadership, coincides with 25th anniversary
We are announcing our firm’s new name Hoefer Welker, effective February 15, 2021. The change recognizes 25 years of success and planning for the future, as well as the years of hard work and leadership of President and Partner Rob Welker, who has been with our company since January 2008.

We’re turning our focus to building the future and moving forward with a name that represents our leadership,” said Founding Partner & CEO Mitch Hoefer. “Rob has done a tremendous job as president and partner, bringing knowledge to our projects across the country. He’s become the face of the firm, serving as a trusted advisor and leader in every sense of the word. Hoefer Welker represents who we are as a company, honoring what we’ve built in the last 25 years and setting the tone for the next 25 years.”

Welker partnered with Hoefer for a number of years while working with a general contracting company before joining the firm as vice president of business development in 2008. He was named partner and shareholder in 2012, and in 2015 was promoted to president and joined the firm’s executive committee.
During Welker’s tenure, our firm has expanded into multiple new markets and service lines. Welker has been a large part of the firm’s growth plan, helping to expand beyond our initial Midwestern footprint to projects nationwide and assisting in opening our Dallas location in 2015.
