This past week Hoefer Welker participated in United Way Week for the seventh year in a row. Our theme this year was Candyland and as a firm, we raised over $15,000 for people in need within the Kansas City community.
The office was divided up into four teams, all of which were candy themed and consisted of M&Ms, Smarties, Baby Ruth, and PopRocks. Some of you might know that here at Hoefer Welker, we are always up for a friendly competition in our office, and this week was no different!
Each day, the teams competed against each other for points in activities such as basepong, trivia, singing bee, and a pop quiz! Since United Way Week fell on the same week as Halloween, our staff dressed in costumes on Friday for team photos and a best dressed competition! Team M&M took the overall win with the highest amount of donations, but Team PopRocks had the most participation points of the week!
Take a look at some of the photos below! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed contributing to a wonderful cause to benefit our community members in need!
