The Leawood Justice Center in Leawood, Kan. was featured in the Johnson County 913 section of the Kansas City Star. The $21,000,000, two-story project features a gym, a large training area for group classes, several conference and meeting rooms, and an underground holding facility for detainees awaiting transport to the Johnson County jail.
Leawood Police Chief, John Meier and Mayor Peggy Dunn are both pleased with the new Justice Center which will house the city’s 84 officer force and serve a growing community of 33,000 people.
