The National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency, and seeks to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. The NIH headquarters, located in Bethesda, Maryland, includes more than 75 buildings across a 300-acre campus. Several of these buildings were commissioned more than 50 years ago and are now obsolete. SCOPE
Using Basis of Design requirements, developed Bridging Documents for inclusion in the Request For Proposal for the design-build project to house radiology, surgery, and laboratory medicine hospital functions, as well as relocated NCI labs.
