Cedar Park breaks ground on $30 million public safety training facility

Cedar Park has initiated the construction of a $30 million Public Safety Joint Training Facility, funded by a 2022 voter-approved bond. This facility, designed by Hoefer Welker, will serve as a training hub for police, fire, and emergency management personnel, featuring three buildings totaling nearly 35,000 square feet. It includes a main training facility with classrooms and an Emergency Operations Center, a fitness and simulation training building, and an apparatus bay for emergency vehicles. The project aims to enhance cross-training and community safety, with completion expected by spring 2026.
