Our team provided comprehensive site planning, programming, and design services for Polk County’s new E911 Central Dispatch and Emergency Operations Center in Bolivar, Missouri. The project was driven by the County’s critical need to replace its outdated dispatch operations, which had long been housed in the basement of the local power company. The new facility is purpose-built to support the County’s growing public safety operations, providing a secure, resilient, and efficient environment for staff, equipment, and emergency communications systems.
Designed to meet the highest standards for life safety and continuity of operations, the facility incorporates an ICC-500 storm shelter and a fully hardened precast concrete structure, ensuring durability and protection during extreme weather events. The design also includes an indoor generator for added resilience and reliability during power disruptions.
