As Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday quickly come and go, it’s easy to get swept up in the commercial side of the holidays. Take a break this season by giving back on **[#GivingTuesday](https://www.givingtuesday.org/)** to nonprofits who lend a helping hand to those in need.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year-giving. Since its inception in 2012, #GivingTuesday has evolved into a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year, and a growing catalog of resources.

At Hoefer Welker, we believe in giving back to our community. We do this by supporting a variety of events and charitable organizations. Here are some of the organizations we support that will benefit from donations this holiday season:

- **[United Way](http://unitedwaygkc.org/)***
- **[Habitat for Humanity](https://habitatkc.org/)***
- **[Heartstrings Community Foundation](http://www.heartstringscf.org/)***
- **[Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City](https://bbbskc.org/)**
- **[Harvesters](https://www.harvesters.org/)**
- **[CANstruction](http://www.canstruction.org/)**
- **[Community Blood Center](http://savealifenow.org/)**
- **[Adopt-A-Family](http://salarmymokan.org/adopt-a-family/)**
