The new South Patrol Station for the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is underway after the October 28th ground breaking. The new facilities, located at Bannister Road and Marion Park Drive in South Kansas City, will house the South Patrol and Special Operations divisions, a multi-purpose building, two vehicle storage buildings with a fueling site, and space for the Canine Unit. Construction is planned to be complete in late 2012 or early 2013. Among those in attendance were elected officials, members of the Board of Police Commissioners, and staff members of the City Architect’s Office and Capital Improvements Unit.
