A California developer, BR Companies, has unveiled plans for a $250 million, 25-story apartment high-rise on Grand Boulevard in Kansas City. This project, designed by Hoefer Welker, aims to revitalize a neglected area known for its historic "zombie buildings." The development will feature over 300 apartments and 24,000 square feet of retail space. It is expected to be the tallest new development in Downtown Kansas City in years, with amenities like a gym, coworking space, and a rooftop pool. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2025 and take 28 months to complete. The project is part of a broader effort to enhance Grand Boulevard and support the city's "Make Grand Grand" initiative.
