Block Real Estate Services LLC has broken ground on a $60 million apartment community called The Residences at Galleria, which is slated to become the “cornerstone” of its broader Galleria master-planned community in Overland Park.
The project team designed the four-story, 322-unit multifamily complex to take advantage of the sloped five-acre site, keeping the main entry at ground level while locating the garage entry below on one end, representatives of Leawood-based architecture firm Hoefer Welker shared in a Monday release.
The Residences at Galleria complex — five separate structures that fuse into one, featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments — will allow for a phased approach to construction, leasing and occupancy.
Community amenities include a 43,000-square-foot courtyard with a resort-style pool; an outdoor cinema; a technology-enabled clubhouse to accommodate remote work; and a garage with electric charging stations and a maker space.
